FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: What is an “escape room”?
A: An escape room is a live-action experience where you and your team attempt to solve puzzles, complete challenges, and decipher clues to complete the mission and make it out of the room in a limited amount of time!
Q: Are your rooms scary?
A: Each room is designed with a unique theme. Most of our rooms are not scary, but be sure to check the room descriptions as rooms change themes regularly.
Q: Can I leave a room during the experience?
A: It is always possible to leave the room in case of an emergency. This should be avoided, however, by ensuring to use the restrooms just prior to starting your experience!
Q: I am claustrophobic. Is that a problem?
A: Our rooms are spacious and are able to be exited at any time in case of an emergency. Having said that, feel free to contact us to get more detailed information about room sizes, etc. As a general rule, however, don’t worry! You’ll be preoccupied with solving puzzles and having a good time!
Q: How old do I have to be to play?
A: Players of all ages can enjoy the experience, but players under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Keep in mind that critical thinking is necessary to enjoy the experience and may be difficult for younger players so use your best judgement when putting your team together!
Q: When should I arrive for my experience?
A: Players should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your booking time to fill out our waiver form, be briefed on your particular experience and ensure you get the full time for your scheduled experience. If you arrive late, employees are authorized to deduct time from your overall play time in order to avoid getting off schedule for the rest of the day.
Q: What happens if I am late for my scheduled experience?
A: If you start your mission 15 minutes late or later, we may be required to take time away from your overall experience in order to keep to our scheduled times for later customers. In some cases, management can authorize rescheduling your group to another date/time.
Q: What happens if we get stuck on a puzzle?
A: While playing the game, you are able to ask for hints for puzzles that you are having trouble solving.
Q: Do you issue refunds?
A: We allow full refunds if you cancel 24 hours or longer before your booking time. We may be able to move your booking to another date/time if you need to make adjustments under 24 hours before your booking time.
Q: What if we don’t fill all the available slots for a room?
A: Back In Time Escape Rooms are designed for maximum enjoyment for the players. With that in mind, our games are always private.
Q: Can I take pictures or video inside the room?
A: Cameras, cellphones, and video recording devices are not allowed in the rooms. Please don’t spoil the experience for someone else!
